about
This song is about how music has been the soundtrack of many people's lives including my own. A particular song or record can bring you right back to a moment in time.
Music has the power to alter your mood and we often listen to it to put us in a feeling we want to experience. It can evoke all emotions, can heal, bring strength ,confidence and an overall sense of well being.
Many concerts I've been to I remember the feeling of the "event" more than details of the show it is more often then not ethereal.
Towards the end of the video I pay homage to many great artist who have passed. Although they are gone, they live on through their songs.
lyrics
Oh can John play, He wrote songs that defined the day
Anytime I feel the need to be free, I put on some Fogerty
When Eddie ruled the world, the boys dressed up like girls
Flamboyancy and wizardry was Van Halen's supremacy
I'll be there, I was there
Anytime I want to visit again, I listen to my favorite bands
Do you know? Those were the Best Years of our Lives
and Do you know? We're in the Best Year of our Lives and... they're never gone
Kurt came and killed a scene, what hairbands didn't foresee
That it shouldn't have come as a mystery , it's just a repeat of history
I'll be there, I was there,
Anytime I want to visit again, I listen to my favorite bands
None of them are really gone, they live on through their songs
Do you know? Those were the Best Years of our Lives... and
Do you know? We're in the Best Years of our Lives .... and
They're never gone
Music can take you away, let it be your escape
Music can give you the strength, give you the strength to go on
give you the strength to move on, Give you the strength to go on

Great White has always been one of my favorites and Jack Russel's Great White is no exception. These guys do a stellar job playing cover tracks and they are the best at covering Zeppelin. Can't wait to spin the wax on this one. Frederick Jones
